Owners opinion on sustainable features:
It could easily be self sufficient in fruit and vegetables, there is a chicken run and house which need attention, and some thought would have to be given to animal husbandry ie shelters for goats or sheep. The spring is reliable and has never run dry. Irrigation water is plentiful. Wood for heating is easily obtainable and the solar panels and more than adequate for electricity and hot water and the use of battery powered tools and distiller for battery water.

Other:
There is much local interest in organic produce with 2 local organic shops who will buy produce and market stalls for organic produce and seedlings. No chemicals have been used on the land since 2005 when I bought the place and I think for many years before. Potatoes were the main crops in years gone by .
