This used to be a beautiful home for 2 adults and 3 children. 10 years ago the property has been very creatively renovated by a skilled craftsman. The building is traditionally constructed of stone and rammed earth and contains local cork as an insulation material.

The house has been empty for 1.5 years and now needs work doing to it to get it back to it’s old glory. The land is overgrown but still beautiful with the stream running at the bottom of the land.

The property is situated within a cork forest setting only 8km from Mooji and 10km from Tamera. It is 4 km ( 2km tarmac 2km dirt track) away from the friendly village which has a good kindergarden and a primary school. It is only 1.5h to Faro where there is an airport and only 1h to the beach.

Electicity is provided by solar panels, which need to be upgraded and serviced) and domestic water comes from its own spring. Heating is provided by wood burning stoves.

The land is of 1.2 hectares in total size and contains an organic veg garden (now neglected but possible to start again), many mature fruit trees including oranges, lemon, apples, pears, peaches, apricots, physalis, plums, sharon fruit, maracuja, kiwi , grapes, figs, quince, nuts, carob, 25 olive trees and room for animals. The harvest of our olive trees gave us enough olive oil for the whole family for 1 year (approx 40l).
