We have 4 years of business behind us and were selected as one of the top 20 glamping sites in Europe in the Telegraph a couple of years ago with many referrals and return visitors.

We have 3 hectares of olive trees and press our own olive oil yearly (organic) selling it to visitors and in the UK. We make our own wine (around 170 vines) have oranges, lemons, almonds, figs, apples, pears, cherries, peaches, apricots and plums. We have our own chemical free vegetable garden and the land is very fertile as we have been allowing the top soil to recover for the past 4 years.

We have 4 wells and a sharka (never run out of water). We use our own water, have a solar system and use gas boilers for our personal use and for the stone house.

We have 2 x 6 metre tipis on raised wooden platforms with their own sawdust toilet and shower. shaded by mimosa, and cork oak on elevated parts of the land. private and secluded from view.

We also have a 300 year old converted stone house (30 sq m) with mezzanine and inside bath/shower, outside sawdust toilet) and wood burner. The house remains cool in the summer and warm in the winter. The door and shutters are original but we have put in double glazed windows and fly screens. There is a gas boiler for hot baths in the winter and a shower.

We have 2 large wooden decks off the main barn which is 120 sq metres comprising a huge communal kitchen, bedroom with woodburner and bathroom with wet room and sawdust toilet plus washing machine.

The stone house has immunity from habitation so is therefore legal and we have changed the status of the land it sits on from rustic to urban which would give people the opportunity to get planning permission to further expand and develop. No taxes payable as they are under 10 euros a year for the whole Quinta.

We have a small (4 cubic metre) dipping pool and little beach area under a large tangerine tree.

We have a large outhouse divided into 5 areas for keeping livestock.

We have an enclosed BBQ by the deck and a large bread oven outside the back of the barn.

It is a 10 minute walk from the village but not overlooked by anyone. Panoramic views and sunsets of the Gardunhas all year around. The decks out of the kitchen are south west facing and we have a herb garden and lemon tree against the wall by the kitchen.

We started running workshops last year which were and continue to be very well attended.

Penamacor is 10kms away with all amenities. Castelo Branco 40 kms away and Lisbon around 2 hours by car. There are lots of beautiful river beaches and dams close by including Idanha a Nova where The Boom festival is held every 2 years. (13kms). The river beaches and dams are unspoilt and not crowded.

Penamacor has just joined Unesco Geoparks and our land has 2 unique boulders. One that looks like an old woman's face (picture on our website) and one like a huge egg! The money coming into the area will be predominantly for tourism and education. We have seen so many developments in the 4 years we have been here.

There is fast growing and diverse expat community.

The tipis are included in the price plus various tools and equipment for running the business.
